  I stayed on the camping field the pub just over a month ago. The landlady and her daughter made my friend and I feel very welcome and the locals did exactly the same. We all had a great evening and everyone was chatty and friendly. I believe that this pub has PREVIOUSLY been run into the ground but it is NOW UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. It's time now to go back support this pub. In my home town, pubs are closing by the dozen and when they're gone, they're gone. Support your local.

  Had a really tasty Sunday Lunch on 19 Jan 14. Three had Lamb and one had the Beef. If you're a carnivore, then you'll be very pleased with the amount of meat on the plate, and if, you like veg, then you'll have no complaints there either, plenty of choice, lots of it, and cooked what we call,... properly! The meat was lovely and tender and the gravy was out of this world. The service was excellent and the wait to eat was about what you'd expect elsewhere. I can honestly say that if you leave there feeling hungry then it's your own fault. We'll definitely eat there again.
